Black Day or Choice Day?
Do you know where single people officially celebrate their singlehood after February 14th?
In South Korea, everything is spread out over three months.
February 14th is when women give gifts.
March 14th is when men reciprocate.
And April 14th is... "Black Day."
On this day, those who are single gather together and eat black noodles. Symbolic. A little ironic. A little sad. But honest.
And I like this idea—if you're going to celebrate something, even loneliness can be made beautiful. With taste. In company. Without drama.
But I confess... I'm more interested in the second part of the tradition
The one where the man doesn't just accept the attention, but responds to it.
I wonder, if you plan to be among those who give gifts in return?
Or among those who will philosophically eat noodles?
Sometimes everything is decided in three days.
Sometimes – in a single message.
